Purpose and tasks

"Academic Studies. Series "Pedagogy"" is an open access peer-reviewed journal with rigorous academic standards for the selection of publications.

The target audience of the journal includes scientists, researchers, PhD and doctoral candidates, and practicing educators.

The purpose of the journal is to publish the results of scientific research in educational and pedagogical sciences by subject specialties, to highlight current issues in the methodology of pedagogical science, the history of pedagogy, the theory and practice of teaching, the theory and practice of upbringing, the theory and methodology of vocational education, physical education and sports, social pedagogy, educational management, innovative pedagogical technologies, and other branches of pedagogical science through the prism of modern socio-cultural paradigm.

The main objectives of the scientific journal are:

  1. Coverage research results – to provide a discussion on key scientific trends in the field of education and pedagogy; reflection on the latest scientific research regarding the content of education, problems and prospects for the development of theories and practices of teaching, upbringing, physical culture and sports, as well as processes of management and ensuring the quality of education in the modern socio-cultural context.
  2. Development of innovative educational practices – presentation of research that highlights theoretical and applied aspects of the creation, testing and implementation of new technologies in educational processes at the levels of preschool, primary, secondary, professional, pre-higher and higher education in regional, national and global dimensions.
  3. Promoting interdisciplinary scientific dialogue – creating a platform for interdisciplinary reflections on the problems of education and pedagogy, physical culture and sports from the perspective of related humanities studies: psychology, philosophy, sociology, cultural studies and other sciences.
  4. Supporting empirical pedagogical research – disseminating research results based on evidence-based pedagogy approaches (quantitative and qualitative methods of analyzing educational data, strong experimental and analytical components).
  5. Supporting the scientific growth of young researchers – implementing state policy to provide opportunities for publishing research results of postgraduate students and young scientists, involving them in interdisciplinary academic communication on issues of education and pedagogy.
  6. Increasing the international visibility of research – promoting the integration of Ukrainian pedagogical and educational studies into the international academic space by attracting authors, editorial board members, and reviewers from foreign countries, responsibly adhering to international standards of scientific communication, and expanding cooperation with research communities in the field of education and pedagogy.
