PECULIARITIES OF PREPARING ONLINE CLASSES OF UKRAINIAN AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE

Abstract

The pandemic and a full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine have significantly influenced different areas of our lives. The education system, which has undergone significant changes, was not left aside: changing the form of provided educational services (offline to online), searching for new methods, techniques, technologies and tools for organizing and conducting classes. The spread of remote learning stimulated teachers to master digital space and actively use online tools in the educational process. Preparation of online classes for speakers of foreign languages primarily involves taking into account two components: technical (availability of online connection and modern gadgets for students) and methodological-theoretical (preparation of materials, level of language proficiency, providing educational and methodological literature and other materials to control and assess the students' knowledge). It should be noted that the main purpose of distance classes in Ukrainian as a foreign language is the development and improvement of communication of higher education seekers in various spheres of life. Teachers actively use information and communication technologies and modern didactic tools to motivate foreign communicators.The specificity of interactive online class is determined not only by its structure, but also by maintaining students' attention and interest. The teachers' practical experience of using adapted educational materials of the electronic textbook on Ukrainian as a foreign language created on the Canva platform, testified to their efficiency and effectiveness in gaining knowledge and acquiring the necessary skills by higher education seekers.
